This is a 2-person skit between a traveler checking in to a hotel in France and the hotel receptionist. Students must respond to typical questions, spell their names, provide their phone numbers, etc. It's short enough for students to memorize in a couple days of practice and utilizes useful, everyday language. Your students will find this role play fun to practice and present! It's also a great speaking activity for a sub lesson.
A follow-up translation worksheet is included.

Super Bowl 2014 - 2 Emergent Reader Booklets - Football - Each booklet contains 16 pages: the title page with 15 additional pages. Also included are suggestions for using the booklets and an assembly instruction page. Students first cut, assemble and read the booklet that contains text and illustrations of words associated with the Super Bowl such as ball, team, coaches, referee, cheerleaders, stadium, etc. They then sketch and create their own version using the text only template. The illustration version can be projected in class to present, review and practice pronunciation of the vocabulary words. The text only version can be projected onto the Smart Board and students can draw pictures on the Smart Board that correspond to the text.
French Christmas Crossword Worksheet and Vocabulary - This Christmas crossword puzzle contains 24 clues for common Christmas vocabulary words, plus 8 clip art images.

Spanish Christmas in School Poem - Casi Es la Navidad - This take-off from "Twas the Night Before Christmas", is a fun activity to use in the weeks leading up to the Christmas/winter holiday. It has the same cadence as Clement Clarke Moore's famous poem but focuses on students in the classroom just before Christmas and the new year instead of the atmosphere in and outside of a home on Christmas Eve.
